For Burning Man 2026 we are changing our interactivity under our new name Kwalq Camp (formerly Clamp Camp). As a mock cult we will be helping tadpoles and polywogs reach their next level of amphibious enlightenment.

Our camp will look like a Lily Pad pond, and be home to our god frog “Kwalq” mutant vehicle. Our camp is home to polywogs seeking to ascend to the next level as amphibians (with a humorous tongue in cheek ascension ritual). Why Kwalq? That’s the international sound of the frog — not ribbit, not croak, but kwalq like a duck.
Our crew of froggie monks will help participants earn merit badges in their enlightenment journey until they can crawl out of the water and onto land and breath air. Sometimes humans are like polywogs, and are not aware the next level exists because all they see is the water they are swimming in. We will show them way out of water and onto land.
Dressed as frog monks, we will be handing out pamphlets describing how to achieve frog enlightenment, and invite participants into our playful ascension ritual which will involve crawling through “water” and then “breathing” air.
