Zymphonic Wormhole July Project Update

It’s the beginning of July, and we are making great progress with the interactive zipline component of the Zymphonic Wormhole project as we  gear up for Critical Massive. We’ve been making final design decisions, ordering materials, started making the base of the zipline, and started to program the interactive component.  We have been working with Processing 2.0 to program the sound and responsive lighting.

Zymphonic Zipline — Concept Image for Critical Northwest and Updates

We will have the zipline and interactive component of the Zymphonic Wormhole at Critical Northwest in July.  Brian has been doing the 3D modeling in anticipation of ordering the metal and having it rolled to specification.   Here’s a concept “sketch” of what the Zymphonic Zipline will look like based on the 3D model. Zymphonic Wormhole is Funded!

It’s official, we are going to Burning Man with our project!  Here’s how we described it in our grant application: The Zymphonic Wormhole celebrate the emergent, layered symphony in light and sound generated by traces of fearless adventurers thrusting themselves out into the great unknown — adventurers for whom what they would experience is as unimaginable to them as it would be to us modern humans, if we were to boldly fling ourselves towards new worlds in outer space through a wormhole.
