The Kwalq Bus is a giant neon frog celebrating transformation, carrying people to new adventures across water and land. For Burning Man 2026 our plan is to transform the Thataway Bus into a giant neon frog, renamed “Kwalq” because that is the international sound of the frog. Not ribbit, not croak — but kwalq like a duck. It will be the same crew, same bus, same armature, same lights, etc., as the Thataway Bus, but now in the shape of a giant frog. Kwalq Camp

For Burning Man 2026 we are changing our interactivity under our new name Kwalq Camp (formerly Clamp Camp). As a mock cult we will be helping tadpoles and polywogs reach their next level of amphibious enlightenment. Our camp will look like a Lily Pad pond, and be home to our god frog “Kwalq” mutant vehicle. Our camp is home to polywogs seeking to ascend to the next level as amphibians (with a humorous tongue in cheek ascension ritual). Why Kwalq? DragonSpy

For our Totally Legit 2025 festival art installation we are gearing up for DRAGONSPY! We put together this proposal for a Burning Man grant application but are planning to take it around a few events this summer, including Electric Sky and Critical Northwest, and then hopefully find it a more permanent home. This is a very future-forward, tech-heavy kinetic project with programmable LEDs and motors, holographic fans, video streaming, and AI in the video stream.
